Catholic Foundation of Northwest Pennsylvania Awards $176,310 in 2023 Competitive Grant Cycles
The Catholic Foundation of Northwest Pennsylvania is pleased to announce during its three 2023 grant cycles, 35 grants totaling $176,310 were awarded to support 28 projects. Funded by the Foundation’s Education Endowment, Faith Formation Endowment, and Catholic Social Ministry Endowment as well as endowments established by individuals to carry out their charitable goals, these grants support a wide range of projects and needs and will have impact throughout the thirteen counties of the Diocese of Erie.

Catholics throughout northwest Pennsylvania are celebrating the significant growth of the Catholic Foundation in recent years. In addition to providing a myriad of fundraising resources extended to regional Catholic organizations, the Foundation has grown to manage over $24M in endowment assets. The feast of Pentecost is quickly approaching (May 19) and it is an annual reminder that the Creed we profess is not for the timid. It’s not a part-time deal, a Sunday morning interlude, something we try to get around to when we’re not so busy.
